Clinton, Sanders Battle Over Marijuana

The Democratic presidental candidates are battling it out over marijuana. While the Republicans (except for Rand Paul) are sticking with the Reagan era drug position, the Dems are are competing to be the cool parent.

First, Bernie Sanders introduced a bill called “The Ending Federal Prohibition on Marijuana Act of 2015.” The bill would reschedule marijuana and legalize it federally. Sanders had already joined with Rand Paul as a co-sponsor of the CARERS Act, but this bill goes further.

Jamie Rosen, CEO of Dr. Dabber, a vaporizer company said, “Bernie Sanders has introduced a bill to remove cannabis from federal jurisdiction. His bid for the Democratic nominee for the 2016 election is being bolstered by his public endorsement of cannabis.”
