MUSKEGON, MI – A 19-year-old Muskegon man has been charged with armed robbery for the alleged gunpoint theft of medical marijuana and other items from a couple in their Hoyt Street home in Muskegon.
Rodney Lumi Bradford Jr. was arraigned Monday, July 27, on that charge. Muskegon County 60th District Judge Harold F. Closz III set bond at $100,000 cash or surety and scheduled a preliminary hearing for 11 a.m. Aug. 10. Armed robbery is punishable by up to life in prison.
The alleged holdup happened in the 1400 block of Hoyt. Bradford allegedly knew the 28-year-old man who lived there was a medical marijuana patient and had repeatedly asked if the patient would sell him some marijuana, but the man had refused, according to Muskegon County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Timothy M. Maat.
