Traffic Stop Leads to Cocaine, Marijuana Bust

A 21-year-old Hamilton man is facing several drug charges after being stopped while driving Saturday afternoon.

When Hamilton police pulled over the car around 3 p.m. on Main Street East, near Springer Avenue, the officer smelled “freshly burning marijuana,” police said in a news release issued Monday morning.

The officer also saw what appeared to be powdered cocaine, crack cocaine and evidence of drug trafficking in plain view inside the car, police said. A further search uncovered additional crack cocaine.
