Marijuana-Filled Suitcases Seized, 3 Arrests Made in Drug Bust

A search of a vehicle and local hotel room in St. John’s turned up two suitcases filled with marijuana Wednesday.

The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit, a joint-force drug team with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and RCMP, arrested three people following a brief investigation.

According to CFSEU, 28 kilograms of marijuana was located during the two searches.

Kelly Poulin of Maple Ridge, B.C., Curtis Wasylow of Vancouver, and Matthew McGuire of Mount Pearl are facing charges of trafficking marijuana and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
