Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Bill Dies in Committee

A Senate committee has struck down a bill that would have legalized the medical use of marijuana in Oklahoma.

Members of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee voted 6-2 against the measure Monday.

Sen. Constance Johnson has introduced several measures over the last several years to ease the penalties for marijuana possession, but they typically have not even been granted a hearing.
