The Jodie Emery Show: Seattle Hempfest’s 20th Anniversary

CANNABIS CULTURE – For the latest news on Marc Emery, CCHQ, and Canada’s cannabis community, watch new episodes of The Jodie Emery Show each week on Cannabis Culture. In this episode: Just back from Seattle Hempfest, Jodie has pictures and video to share along with two gifts from generous friends.

Seattle Hempfest was an amazing trip: three days on Seattle’s beautiful waterfront watching informative speeches and great musical performances. Jodie got to hang with some old friends and meet some new ones, like Congressman Dennis Kucinich (pictured right).

Jodie shows off two great gifts: a beautiful Mr. Kiefbox stash box with the Chronic Art roach paper mosaic portrait of Marc and Jodie, and a hooked rug of the “FREE MARC” logo from Bunny at the Vancouver Dispensary.

Marc could use a letter to lift his spirits, as he’s been feeling extra depressed lately. Go to http://www.FreeMarc.ca for the address and guidelines.

Jodie: Keep up God’s work. Our right wing Christian rulers are a bunch of phonies.

I’m new to this sort of activism but live in Rick Simpson’s corner of the world in the Maritimes since 2007.. having left BC. This ‘hemp revolution’ is the growth industry our country needs.. when we see $25 billion warship building contracts being granted and $7 billion military helicopter contracts going to Lockheed Martin without so much as a discussion.. we know our government does not work for us.. they have forgetten the people and the people are who make up a country – diverse and full of hopes and dreams.. I can visualize our country, despite the leaders, transforming into a place that is once again looked at as the true north, strong and free. Promote the Rick Simpson story and Marc Emery story… tell what you know… keep talking to each other… its up to us.. do a little activism/artivism each day.

For the record, Kucinich has done some great work supporting ethically-progressive causes &, as such, doesn’t have economic-libertarian views. Kucinich (‘D’ for Democrat) is far more in touch with reality than Ron Paul (who gets lots of unjust props from this site’s owner), although, to be fair, poor old Dennis has ‘seen a UFO’… that delusion aside, he’s vegan which is excellent & is vocal against the US military industrial complex. It’s great to see a Progressive on Cannabis Culture instead of a Tea Partier!
