Seattle Hempfest Celebrates 20th Anniversary This Weekend

CANNABIS CULTURE – The world’s largest marijuana protestival is back for its 20th Anniversary! Seattle Hempfest 2011 is this weekend at three of the city’s beautiful downtown waterfront parks.

This year’s Hempfest runs from August 19 – 21 and features some of the biggest speakers and performers in the cannabis and hemp community. The festival is one of the planet’s largest gatherings of pot-related businesses and activist groups with hundreds of information and vendor booths selling t-shirts, pipes, bongs, jewelry, books, magazines and other ganja goodies. Everything but the weed itself!

The gathering stretches across three Seattle waterfront parks: Centennial Park (formerly Elliott Bay Park), Myrtle Edwards Park, and Olympic Sculpture Park. Click here for a map.

This year’s roster of speakers includes Congressman Dennis Kucinich, NORML director Allen St. Pierre, ganja-growing guru Ed Rosenthal, Cannabis Culture‘s own Jodie Emery, and many more. Click here for the huge list.

Musical guests include The Kottonmouth Kings, The Herbivores, and a giant list of others. Click here for the full schedule.

Watch for full coverage of this year’s event coming soon to Cannabis Culture.

This sounds like a blast from the past.
Music, joints & a lot of happy non-violent people.
Should be a good time & wish i could be there.
When Marc gets out of his hellhole he likely won’t be able to attend any events like this in the States as he won’t be allowed in. His voice will still be heard though.
Events like this show that there is still a lot of good going on there, amongst all the evil.
Wake up America & smell the roses!
