Why I’m Voting New Democrat Today and Why You Should Too

Canadians go to the polls today with a clear choice: the failed and contemptuous policies of Stephen Harper’s Conservatives, or the sweeping vision of a prosperous, respected and free Canada offered by Jack Layton and the New Democratic Party. I urge you all to vote and to be part of the change that is coming to Parliament.

For too long our democracy has been treated by Mr. Harper as an inconvenience, a thing to be treated with disdain and contempt. He has shown his disregard in so many ways. From refusing to tell the Canadian taxpayer how many billions he plans to waste on mega-prisons to shutting down the government rather than face a test of the House’s confidence, Mr. Harper has dodged accountability for his actions at every step.

Today he will be judged by the Canadian people. And I trust and believe that we will soundly reject the politics of fear and division and, instead, embrace the inclusive and empowering agenda offered by New Democrats. Jack Layton and his NDP team have always been prepared to work hard to make Parliament work for Canadians. It is time to have a Prime Minister that believes that the role of government is to enrich the lives of the people. It is time for a Prime Minister that actually respects the Parliament that he leads. Today, together, we can make that a reality.

Crucial to achieving this goal is to get out the vote. That means calling your friends and family and reminding them how important their voice can be. Volunteer at your local NDP riding office, or one in a contested riding near you. Talk about voting, and why you support the New Democratic Party in this election with people you meet all day long. Together we will make a difference for Canada.

As I said, the choice is clear. It is also stark. Stephen Harper has vowed to enact regressive penal legislation within 100 days if he forms a majority government. He will impose mandatory jail terms on low level drug offenders despite reams of evidence that such policies cause harm, waste money and are wholly ineffective. Stephen Harper’s Justice Minister, Rob Nicholson, signed an order sending my friend, and Canadian icon, Marc Emery to spend five years in a cage for selling the seeds of a beneficial plant. For Mr. Harper and his ilk, locking fellow Canadians in jail for political and ideological purposes while selling out our sovereignty is par for the course. We must not allow him to destroy our principles any further.

Meanwhile, last Parliament’s “opposition” Liberals marched with Mr. Harper in lockstep for years, repeatedly voting for his incarceration agenda and virtually any other legislation he wanted. It was a Liberal – the inaptly described human rights expert Irwin Cotler – that began the extradition of Marc Emery, Michelle Rainey and Greg Williams. And Mr. Ignatieff’s LIberals voted for Mr. Harper’s mandatory minimums before finally deciding that it was politically safe to oppose.

All the while Jack Layton, Libby Davies and our allies in the New Democratic Party have consistently opposed the mass jailing of Canadians, the ramping up of a US-style drug war and the persecution of Marc Emery. They did so when it might not have been politically safe but, instead, was the right thing to do. I believe that a Parliament led by New Democrats will finally bring evidence based drug policy reform to Canada and that Jack Layton will stand up for the rights of all Canadians.

Today I will proudly cast my ballot for a my New Democrat, Jean Crowder. It is a small act, but a profound one. By voting New Democrat, together we can restore integrity to Parliament, end the politics of fear and division and usher in a new and positive era of Canadian democracy.

One who shook hands of Martin Luther King Jr. kind of got you on some semantics . . . yes, I’ll defend the fact that you said Sativa and not salvia, but both are mind altering substances of varying degrees. Not sure what someone under the impression of television or booze would be doing on this site if they are too buys viewing TV to write –maybe drugged or drunk blogging at most –to answer your question –but back to semantics or even a lose form of something Wittgenstein-ish: you still mentioned the physical act of smoking something –be it Sativa or Salvia and I one-up you on this one since you honed specifically on the drug discrepancy instead of defending your insult of me and the other person (and I’m guessing there is no way to convince you I didn’t write it –so I’m at a loss on that one and will let you concede that –just like I cannot prove I am not David Alonzo on this website either) . . . you could have gone with some facts defending your views with a boo-yeah: It was Sativa Bitch –not Salvia . . . So, chump-change, Alonzo . . . this is good exercise ay –good for the community because if I was an anti-prohibitionist –I’d be finding new and exciting ways to disperse information to the people and you and I going at it with a verbal knife fight to the finish will only strengthen my resolve and let’s hope you can one-up me without the mention of: Dude –this guy needs some pot . . . with a shortcut to thinking in ‘this guy is pro-military filled to the brim with American Excrement. etc’ is very similar to the shortcuts in thinking found in the brains and ideas of the DEA and the Status-quo where the short-cut to thinking involves diagnosing delinquent behavior with cannabis use (since they do commit crimes by disobeying the law in the first place). I actually want you to 1-up me because that will involve you using your brain and make me clap like one of those toy monkeys with symbols due to the immense joy for your developing thought process and the potential it could have on our legalization efforts (if I told 18people my spill and you told 18people the same spill but with your twist and each of those I told and you told –told 18 and they all told 18 –can you imagine the possibilities –kind of like the joy of realizing that Canadians and Americans alike must write frequently to their politicians and other politicians from other states or countries or how else are they going to know how to run the show and know what you and others want). And if I’m crazy or whacko, just give me the ISB# and author and copyright of the books you read that proves I’m mentally ill –because for Gods’ sake –If I am –do help . . . but then again I take it you are not familiar with any style of writing or experimental writing and with some smart ass logic: your lack of familiarity with experimentation (drug experimentation for you –don’t hit the crack rock) states you are unfamiliar with Apollinare and if you are unfamiliar with him –you might be unfamiliar with Picasso and if you are unfamiliar with Picasso –then you might be unfamiliar with his ‘Guernica’ and let’s face it: ‘I didn’t paint it –it was you’ (those familiar with famous Art history quotes can laugh) . . . you paint the picture of stoners only caring about getting a piece of the cheese without the cat banging you around or chasing you for the prohibited cheese and according to the current establishment: you already have tobacco and booze –what more do you want? And weed enthusiast whom currently use the herb are breaking the law to the tune of your only complaint being your ‘so called rights violations in the form of arrests and fines’, while the establishment deems fit to kindly with our tax dollars give incarcerated drug offenders: three hots and maybe a cot while in jail, which is not yet considered cruel and unusual punishment –so, now that we’ve established that I’m right in much of the direction that the Cannabis Community is going (running into walls many times, instead of breaking them down): Where is your gon’dern Paradigm Shift home-boy . . . mine came out when it looked pathetic that stoners whine about going to jail –though they chose to commit a ‘crime’ –but to view logic from a different angle: those Haitians didn’t decide to ever be colonized as former slaves from Africa –on a land having a major earthquake potential with Europeanized styles of living quarters (buildings that can topple and not grass huts etc) and that is the crux: choosing to go to jail vs. drug money hurting the innocent (like earthquakes can do) whom did not do anything to deserve such harshness in this world. To fight for real justice, instead of only focusing on people in jail whom are given health care and food and Mr. Emery understands this –which is why he decided to go to prison so he can fuck up the system from the inside and open the jailers, U.S. Citizens, and prisoners minds up a little from his unique and bold position –but we already have a hero doing his time in jail –which is all the ‘unfair to be incarcerated for Cannabis’ we need for now and why not focus on the death toll of drug money –this at least will tug on the heart strings of folk: “So you are telling me that keeping booze hypocritically legal while prohibiting pot makes it acceptable for airplanes to crash in New York or car bombs to explode in Algeria or children to starve en mass in Africa etc” . . . David –how can you only think of your precious water bong not-tipping over in the heat of bullets coming through your global window –this is selfish David Alonzo and you are any prohibitionists’ wet dream for such lack of concern via your going at this the wrong way. {and do we not take in account flight speed and building material to explain no burn marks on the grass of the Pentagon –because obviously it wasn’t a bomb or a rocket because both would cause burn marks on the grass to some degree –like hitting a baseball through the window won’t always result in the ball or the glass being outside on the lawn –but take everything with a grain of salt I say and at least building #7 commenter is using his mind to question objects outside the noticeable realm of logic.} Back to Alonzo –sorry for the bumpy segue into the Pentagon bombing but this should make David Alonzo question his use of logic when it comes to reason . . . the Non-Spiritual side of Pascal’s Wager: A-drugs don’t kill as many people as all the news sources one can read without watching David’s precious TV news says it does –OR B- Something like Hundreds of thousands of people have died since the 61’ Convention and we should look into Mexico for evidence. David Alonzo –Chump Change Extraordinaire says that the violence in Mexico doesn’t exist because he states (using his arguments against me) that the drug cartels and even segments of the corrupt government fighting against and for the cartels don’t use any drug money when the odds are that at a bare minimum 50% of the bloodshed (what is half of 36odd thousand –math genius?) comes from drug money from the cartels and David and yet you think terrorism is all hype –so your logic will argue against bloodshed in Mexico –let alone Compton or Boston from drug money and gangs. Why don’t you get out a climate map of the Earth and tell me if you believe Morocco, India, Pakistan, Lebanon, Malawi, Burma, Columbia etc could be suitable drug producing regions and that will tell you Muslim nations do in fact grow more dope, while the CIA and BBC and Al Jazerra and PBS etc will tell you about all the coke they are buying from South America for Africa and Europe and Asia. You’ve obviously never starved a bit to be susceptible to different and strange thoughts or shown how your water is disappearing or how every American and Canadian is a millionaire stealing your oil using dirty contracts with the puppet Muslim Government beneath Americas’ thumb –let alone ever had to fear for your freedoms or your life . . . such fear caused prohibition and its current residue and many Americans don’t have that same fear due to the banality of drug use in America . . . they are used to it and society won’t go to hell in a handbag with these endless rows of users (just like boozers) and what about the Children if we legalize drugs –what about the wasted taxes from health related costs and drugged drivers: that’s the fear you ignore and ignoring won’t stop bombs or bullets –but realizing I’m right will as deductive logic will prove. Not even you know how to yet question the kind of hypocrisy that kills countless thousands of people who have never even done a drug and let’s face it –if you die because of drugs –its because you overdosed, got shot by a drug dealer or shouldn’t have been hanging out in Compton to buy your crack rocks David –that’s how many in society view drug money violence –at best they recognize the Ghetto’s of America and Paris’ violence and street crime from gangs and drive-bys from rap lyrics describing the same story day in and night out of violence . . . hardly questioning Europe’s dope habits being bought or traded for diamonds which does produce more bloodshed than lets say blood diamonds without cocaine or heroin or drug money. Alonzo –I can 1 up you in circles all day homeboy with your quizzical shortcut to thinking –but that’s OK . . . you just keep on proving to me how you are selfish and care more about your precious bud and little ass going to jail than you do for say –A Haitian Orphan aged 13 knifing a Dominican rival drug dealer because: “Ay –you –yeah you playing in the garbage –your parents dead right? –you hungry –antibiotics on your cuts –want? . . . like to have three meals a day and a place to sleep and $10 a week (filthy rich) . . . do this?” or the President or regional tribal leader when determined that his seat in Guinea-Bissau or Liberia or Mauritania or Sahrawi etc was bought by drug money votes (however many) –“now let’s cut off the arms of the children of parents whom didn’t vote for me and don’t favor my views”. That’s drug money home boy –never have you ever seen a drug dealer use your $20 to pay the rent or re-up on some pot when compared to all the bullets, machetes and clean water and healthy food given to some motivated and influenced killers –I bet you didn’t even know that Africans in Africa wear shoes and clothing –or do you think they just always make their own out of burlap or from the dead or from old tires or always run around naked –image influencing others with drug money with such novelties as shoes and new clothing to do thy bidding? Let us see whether Alonzo can logically defend himself without first spewing the insults first and yes insulting you did hurt my credibility a little –but I don’t care because I can still smell the charred flesh of babies from drug money bought bombs or see the tears of a naked mother in Puerto Vallarta holding her starving baby because someone mistook her husband for a drug dealer and burnt their house when she was living in Guadalajara –thus leaving them with nothing . . . you are so self-centered Alonzo that you really think a poor farmer or shop keeper fighting on the side for his version of justice will use all his money or even a quarter or tenth of it to buy a gun or ammo or camcorder (required in all attacks for proof and tactical learning) or cell phone that will blow up or wires from electronics or a car for a car bomb or even paying car thieves to get one of the cars used in battles and shoot at Americans or Africans of another tribe? Maybe you could conduct terrorism because you are technically wealthy (having more money now than there are days in a year in ones account or pocket) and have a hard time living without your expensive pot and air-condition and TV and house with doors and windows . . . quit acting so spoiled Alonzo, because people like you cause society to be none-too quick to change. I will never post anything on CC unless I’m at a bare minimum 50% right because anything less will only hurt me and the cause and all these innocent victims and our Martin Luther King hand shaker diagnosed it just right about how I’ve come to react to drug money bloodshed via these posts (psychology major I’m guessing): I owe cowards like you sanctuary and help since you don’t have any solutions worth of any value to the status quo or weed toking society –or you would have signed up for the peace corps or Red Cross etc to actually help society unless there is a handicap keeping you from serving humanity. All you should do is accept it if you haven’t any logical responses disproving me and I consider all this to be common sense and thus it wouldn’t take long for you to research as a challenge to you. Open your mind Alonzo –quit shortcutting your reasoning of all this to TV and booze and Americanism being to blame for the dissident ideas I have (don’t nock String Theory just because you don’t understand it etc. kind of mentality) –you lazy conformist you (arm and fist shaking angrily) . . . you’ve never even heard of Indonesia or you wouldn’t insult the American Military that does do aid in the billions of our taxes –yes the suits in Washington have other motives, but the troops helping many have their hearts in the right place . . . I bet you didn’t even know there was a major Tsunami that happened a few years ago or even Hurricane Katrina –all of which helping out and doing aid work could have helped you formulate big-boy ideas and facts. Opinions are not my cup of tea –so I rely heavily on facts . . . let me guess –you spend more times playing video games or role playing games as a weed smoker than as the kind of weed smoker who gets baked to the point of needing to read Game Theory, Nietzsche, Wiesel’s Night, or Steven Hawking etc. for shits-and-giggles? Expand more than your lungs David and learn . . . and Kids: that is the word of the day: LEARN . . . don’t focus more on who gets to go to jail and who doesn’t –think about if it was you or your loved one getting killed or tortured or kidnapped for sex-slaving (AP article captured by CC magazine –too bad you can’t read well cause you missed it) due to what drug money can control and influence.
Hmmm (clearing throat): Boo-yeah. I wait for your rebuttal and I will retort like some tweaked out Hunter S. Thompson dismayed by the Chicago Democratic Convention of 68’.

For someone who seems to so disdain the cannabis culture and those of us who use cannabis, and who does so by saying that stoners such as myself are too high to be intelligent and accurate, I find it wildly amusing to read your comment:
“You talked about him smoking salvia which shows people that you (as a representative of Cannabis Culture since you read it and comment on it) are just a drugged up person who’s as the stereotype says: too high to make sense of the world and only caring about your next buzz.”

Maybe you are high on booze, television, Americanism or you just can’t read properly, because guess what, chump- I never mentioned Salvia in my comment. I mentioned SATIVA. Do you even know the difference between Sativa and Salvia? I doubt it.

Your comment sounds like Son of Sam and I think you are just using a fake name to defend him when you really are him. Try using your real name, if you have any testicles.

The bottom line is that Son of Sam is pro-American military, believes in US hegemony, and he writes like he is mentally ill.

Now go have yourself some Salvia or Sativa…either of those healing herbs might help your addled brain attain clarity!

  6. Somone lucky enough to shake Dr. King's hand as a youngen on

Son of Sammy is most likely right since no single government resource will tell the exact number, which is what I’m guessing is what he means about this logic class thing he says. And College Logic is a class which teaches its pupils various tricks for the near perfect ability of thinking for one’s self when data seems missing, while it teaches you various way to recover data or discover data by researching both high and low for the most accurate answer and only one’s research will determine if they are indeed accurate and it uses Math involving letters (not variable of the unknown but letter), numbers and signs, which is a kind of self fitting puzzle if one only takes the first step or circumnavigate to the farthest piece of data to find the trail to the nearest data that was indeed hidden.

If you actually read government data about their involvement in reacting and analyzing to what wiki and journals call Narco-Terror from America, Canada, France, England, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Japan, Turkey, Russia, Brazil, Mexico, Spain and others, they will give one the ability to pull figures not yet overall recorded. Either governments aren’t pulling the data together for one big sheet as seen when the U.N. estimates street values of all drugs to be $400billion annually (but the black market will never give up all her secrets) or they are trying to hide something. Alonzo has forgotten where Mexico is in Location to the World and Mexico could be a ‘right under our nose’ clue with all the violence there and if Son of Sammy is wrong then Mexico’s drug violence is sheer propaganda and most likely only staged violence for some major movies, but that’s just hoopla now isn’t it. And if its common sense that drugs control 1% + of the worlds GPA, Alonzo must be under the impression that the Peso in Mexico is just as valuable as the British pound, which would make Alonzo according to Son of Sammy one whom cannot think for themselves since the peso is worth less than the dollar and the dollar is worth less than the British pound, so that tell me that Alonzo believe he can go to Morocco or Afghanistan and pay for a pair of Nike shoes with the same money as it would cost in Toronto or Seattle or as Son of Sammy is saying that drug money goes much further in 3rd or even 2nd World Nations and if Canada loses elections then they are dooming themselves to the same mistakes as America. What if Son of Sammy Walton here had to learn the hard way about what makes drug prohibition worse than what most of us see (jails, prisons, Marc going to America, people being driven to use alcohol ) with our own eyes or read here in Canada or America. Maybe what he saw scared him so shitless that he believes if he doesn’t give you a jive full of information that he somehow is responsible and therefore letting go of Canada’s hand to fall into the fiery pit.

Alonzo, before you say something insulting to probably someone smarter than you’ll ever get to be in your whole life, why don’t you attempt to travel to some of these places that Son of Sam talks about and actually read a newspaper or two and maybe your mind might just be equipped to begin taking numbers for addition and multiplication etc. to begin basic simple algebra of the human thought process (or in your case the getting high again process: pinch herb and drop herb into bowl). You can’t feed your brain pot and Scooby Doo cartoons forever. And you just proved again that Son of Sam is probably the most accurate of any one on this website though maybe a little bit too over zealous but still smarter than most. You talked about him smoking salvia which shows people that you (as a representative of Cannabis Culture since you read it and comment on it) are just a drugged up person who’s as the stereotype says: too high to make sense of the world and only caring about your next buzz. At least Son of Sammy never once mentions drugs on this post once since as he puts it “drug legalization has nothing to do with people getting high.” Son of Sam Walton, try to ketch your breath when you type and ignore the non-thinking lazy minded folk like Alonzo whom only care about loading a bowl and not guiding the world like a shepherd or the good steward that we are supposed to be on this earth. Hmm, I never thought I’d write something this lengthy on the internet my entire life:
Peace and free carrot juice to all for a long healthy life.

So, just refresh my memory a bit would you Sammy boy … what was it brought down building 7? Oh, and while you’re at it, tell me again how an airplane can make such a small hole in the Pentagon (leaving the grass untouched in the process).

  9. David Alonzo on

Definitely vote NDP or Green and get Harper and the Cons out of power. Chris Bennett was right in describing them as insane right wing Christian nutcases. They own Alberta and they are on a holy mission to “Christianize” the world, even though as people who embrace wars, violence, capitalism and other evils, they are directly in opposition to the real Jesus, who was a pacifist and an enemy of the wealthy.

Now as regards this poor dude who posts on here as Son of Sam, this guy is pro-military, pro-US, he believes in the “war on terror” mythology, and he is probably in need of a good Indica because the way he writes indicates either a serious mental illness or a recent hit from a Sativa that is too stimulating for the poor kid.

Anyways, let’s all of us vote and vote often to rid ourselves of Harper and his Con friends. They want Canada to become like the USA, which would be a crying shame.

And oh yes, it’s great that Osama bin Laden got killed, but I’d say that Bush and Harper are terrorists too!

  10. Son of Sam Walton on

Jodi or Jeremiah –where is the large story on your website about the Death of Osama and the need for drug legalization for those whom hated 9/11 and the wars that use so much drug money. . . you might give people the impression that you are a pro-prohibitionist website by not having a story just as important as the May 2nd Elections or are we so dumb as to believe that Osama’s 1 million dollar bungalow he was found in wasn’t mostly bought with drug funds. I understand this site hates the DEA –but the DEA websites and factsheets should be your best friend and held more dear than info about the elections since anyone whom knows how to read understands that the DEA’s info is legalizations best friend, while the DEA, Gov’t, DOJ and DOC were Osama’s greatest allies as well . . . and I bet you your entire website and I absolutely hate to say this, –Marc Freedom –that militant Muslims do in fact pray on rugs facing Mecca –giving thanks to the U.S. drug policy and blessing those whom hold Marc in chains (that’s a provable fact for any who know how to read). You want Americans to free Marc- yet you don’t want to end prohibition via an article talking about Osama and how he used the 1961 U.N. Singles Convention to his advantage. You have a greater advantage for legalization by getting potheads and sober people and boozers and tobacco junkies to realize that drug legalization has nothing to do with people’s right to use drugs –we all know that its more plausible and probable for Canada’s greatest hockey team to have won the Super Bowl of 2011 than for marijuana legalization or NORML or Cannabis Culture to be about people having the right to get high with no fines or jail. When you have people on this site wasting their breath ranting about drugs and people getting busted who have drugs in their system –you make it work for the prohibitionists because let’s face it: simply having legalization is dumb from a tax and health care position and everybody in their right mind just assumes we don’t make another mistake like alcohol –but if you provide real news articles on this site –then legalization is now about saving the lives of Canadian soldiers etc . . . when you don’t have something on the Drug-Terror Nexus at a time like Osama’s death –you are laughing at all the people who die because of drug money . . . you are laughing in the face of the roughly 3-8% (30,000-80,000 people) of Rwandans in 94’ whom died because of what drug money could finance . . . you are making wisecracks against the Spanish train bombing victims and guess what: Spain is Next to Portugal and not focusing facts on the drug money used in Spain is your desire to see prohibition kept in Spain and in fact placed back into Portugal. This site is specifically stating Marc should be executed for selling seeds because you refuse to do simple deductive logic that would prove that Marc’s seeds and the example he set for people whom got the idea to commercially sell seeds after Marc started is responsible for lessening the terrorists and cartels finances by having marihuana sold by marijuana users and not gangs and terrorist whom bought it from a Mexican or Muslim . . . maybe my rant is a little too premature and you just haven’t had the time to have the article out yet . . . please don’t prove to me this sight is just a bunch of whiny pot heads blowing smoke whom aren’t even brave enough to face the consequences of an arrest or raid for using illegal drugs (better to be in prison than dead from a drug bought bomb or bullet) –please tell me this site has concern for humanity or Marc will be lost in the sea of orange jumpsuits as the common criminal you are setting him up to be . . . WWMD (WHAT WOULD MARC DO?) –because let’s face it –Marc broke the law and has an obligation to receive justice or did Marc break the law just like Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. etc. So which is it Jodi . . . is Marc a pothead or human being . . . will this site push the legalization envelope at such a momentous time with a death and elections or are you only thinking of yourself –“Why must I be arrested for my drug of choice . . . poor pitiful me –poor pitiful me with food in my belly –clothes on my back and a chest that contains no shrapnel from a bomb –poor pitiful me” when there are so many more important things like pollution and starvation or will this site use their University Logic Class education you all received from colleges in Canada or America or England and trace much of the world’s current problems (small or big or even just having its hands in a problem) back to prohibition. Marc said the U.S. is his reason why he became an activist if I can remember any of his blogs –so honor Marc with an article ASAP about Narco-Terror and Osama’s use of drug money . . . it shouldn’t take you but an hour to read the little 500pgs of the “9/11 Commission Report” if you are needing facts to begin off with. How about this for size Canada –allies you all: execute every drug user whom buys drugs because drugs finances terror and terror can be only financed by drug addicts like potheads and heroin users and cocaine users etc. or we can view prohibition through the lenses of hypocrisy that even the government cannot respect its own laws in the form of the CIA, Iran-Contra and gobs of police corruptions. What about those who don’t drink (or even get drunk) or use tobacco –how can you convince them that even more harmful substances should be legalized and I’ve already told you how to get a number of people (majority or minority –it got to start somewhere and work up momentum) on our side via Narco-Terror and then we hit them with the IED or Roadside Bomb of legalization: industrial hemp and the fact that the average hemp product would hire well over 250 workers and many products would have multiple companies (like cars, shoes, Old Navy, Abercrombie, Nike, Pepsi, Choc etc.) and we must then press the envelope to convince people that anyone whom sincerely believes gasoline or plastics come from oil are in fact more likely to be a monkey’s uncle if they are dumb enough to really believe plastics or gasoline one puts into a car comes from oil. If I sound angry –just choc it up to someone that’s seen more death from drug money than a cop has seen crack rocks in Compton, CA. Quit thinking there is a war in Mexico with drug cartels when nobody has died from it when compared to all those whom died in Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia, Pakistan, India, Israel, Algeria, Serbia, Stans, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Lebanon etc. from drug money alone -report everthing about prohibition then. How can this website appear to be so selfish when you have troops overseas yourself or are you just waiting and hoping with fingers crossed that some Terrorists sneaks a nuke or megga car bomb into your country via the Bering Strait and Alaska or Vancouver from the Pacific or even the North Atlantic, which is only probable if we can prove that 9/11 wasn’t a myth . . . if the U.S. can arrest millions for drugs –are we so stupid as to not think that hundreds of thousands of people had died just from drug money or do we not care about all the death and destruction surrounding us –that we all are currently standing near and are only crying because the world isn’t fair because this dude doesn’t have to risk jail for beer like you all do for pot or heroin. Tough cookies . . . I bet you there were people on 9/11 simply visiting NY whom didn’t want to see all that or even die –but it happened –why not buck up and just go to jail for your illegal drug use –pay your fines –accept fewer jobs and revenue because of illegal hemp and spent prohibition money etc. Man up or wise up. This is the first time I ever had to treat this website like it was a Conservative prohibitionist politician from Oklahoma named Tom Coburn

    I with you on that.
I just finished voting NDP an hour ago.
They are by far the only party worth a vote in canada right now in my opinion.
