Toking vs. Drinking Challenged Issued To Liberal Leader

Cannabis constitutional challenger Matt Mernagh is issuing a toking vs. drinking challenge to Liberal leader Micheal Ignatieff. Mernagh, a medical marijuana patient at the heart of Ontario court ruling striking down possession and cultivation, who becomes functional after inhaling, will smoke two joints for every glass of wine Iggy guzzles. The Liberal leader has been making serious boneheaded comments regarding cannabis on the campaign trail. Most recently in Sault St. Marie where he suggested students take up wine drinking not inhaling.

A legal source of cannabis, much like buying a bottle of wine, is possible, with political willpower. A cannabis control board of Ontario would generate billions of dollars for our provincial economy while reducing harms associated with marijuana.

Health Canada’s medical marijuana program was created by a Liberal government who didn’t consult doctors or sick Canadians before making doctors “gatekeepers.” A role doctors have massively boycotted. The constitutional defect in Canada’s medical marijuana program therefore was created by a Liberal government and continued by a Conservative government. The Conservative government created massive application delays.

Mernagh a self proclaimed Cannabis Champion of the World is furious at Mr. Ignatieff lack of understanding for a sensible drug policy. The champ is touched students would ask Mr. Igantieff specifically about R v. Mernagh court ruling, which deals primarily with medicinal marijuana access.
