There are only a few days left to become a member of the BC NDP in time to vote for cannabis super-activist Dana Larsen as leader of the party. Sign up before January 17 to be eligible to take part in the leadership election.
Dana Larsen is the founding former editor of Cannabis Culture, founder of both The Vancouver Seed Bank, and the The Vancouver Medicinal Cannabis Dispensary, and leader of the BC Marijuana Party – he’s even been endorsed by legendary pot icon Tommy Chong (watch the video).
Dana is also a good friend of mine and appeared with me on the last two episodes of CNN LIVE. I’m really excited at the prospect of having Dana as the leader of the BC NDP (of which I’ve been a member for many years) and possibly as the Premier of British Columbia. This is one of the best opportunities BC has had in a long time to bring real change to drug policy and rebuild some of our tattered province after the destructive reign of Liberal weasel Gordon Campbell.
So please, if you live in British Columbia, SIGN UP NOW so you can take part in the leadership vote on April 17.
We’ve already signed up hundreds (or maybe thousands) of new members, but every vote counts. We have a real shot at winning – if we can get enough people on this wagon we can bust down the barn doors of the BC NDP (currently guarded by President Moe Sihota)!
And if you have a few spare milliseconds, stop by this CBC article and vote Dana in the poll. The question reads “Which candidate should lead the B.C. NDP?”, and at the time of this writing (Wednesday evening), Dana was leading with 65.56% – second is John Horgan with 27.39%. That’s a huge lead; hopefully everyone voting has signed up!
