Farewell Tour: Montreal

I enjoyed our Montreal visit, and Jodie absolutely adores Montreal and its stately European architecture, elegance and restaurant/cafe culture.

Montreal is definitely her favorite Canadian city so far after 19 cities.

A big ole jet airliner is going to take us to Vancouver at 8.20 eastern, back at work at the CCHQ by 1 pm Saturday. Then we leave for Kamloops Sunday morning. Hear me speak in KAMLOOPS at the Bandshell in Riverside Park on Monday from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm!

It was very nice to see Marc Emery back to Montreal. The last time I saw him was in Montreal in 2004 when he spoke at McGill University and Concordia. And also his wife Jodie,a very charming person, was there accompanying him.
The crowd was small (hey ! its summer holidays and the weather is somewhat rainy and the neighborhood mostly french speaking) but very enthusiastic.Despite facing a bleak future in prison,Marc’s personality is really shining
and he has certainly not lost any of his dynamism and ability to deliver a great speech. Also, he is friendly and likes to talk to people and it shows.

Was definitely a nice afternoon, smoking up outside of Je l’ai. People biking or driving by slowed down, I saw many remove their earphones and listen for a while.

No altercations, no cops, good times.

Plus we got a badass bong with a nice deal afterwards 😉
