As the former manager of Marc Emery’s BCMP Bookstore (now Cannabis Culture Headquarters), I was constantly on the lookout for new fashionable clothing made from hemp and other natural, sustainable fibers. Finding stylish hemp clothing has not always been easy but, over the last few years, several progressive companies have stood out from the pack in producing hemp and natural fiber clothing that our customers actually want to wear. In my new career as a wardrobe stylist I have the opportunity to showcase all kinds of clothing, but rarely get to go back to my roots to work with companies that sell fashionable, wearable hemp clothes.
Throughout the next few pages, you will see clothing made from organic cotton and different natural and sustainable fibers – including hemp, soy, bamboo, coconut and dandelion – as well as hemp and vegan friendly shoes, and natural wood and shell accessories. The companies represented have not come to us to advertise their clothing. I personally handpicked each item myself to showcase the best companies in hemp and natural clothing. My favorite brands, such as Satori, I-Path, Nibus, and Hemp Hoodlamb, can be found throughout Canada and the US at eco-friendly clothing stores, hemp shops, and even big smoke shops. Remember: by choosing this kind of clothing, you are making a choice that positively impacts the environment of the world we live in!
