Where: Myrtle Edwards Park, on the Seattle
Waterfront

Why: To rally and show public support for
a change in the current laws pertaining to hemp and marijuana; to showcase
over 100  retail vendors utilizing  industrial hemp in one of
the largest specialty gift shows in the country; to present world renowned
and universally recognized speakers and regional performers on 2 stages;
to educate the general public on the fallacy of the current laws and repressive
policies of our government in this area and to peacefully assemble to call
for a  change of those laws and to petition our government for a redress
of grievances.

>From its beginning  in 1991, the
Seattle Hempfest has grown to become one of the largest and most sophisticated

draw in  excess of 50,000 people. The Hempfest will again be the subject
of regional, national and international media coverage,  feature real-time
internet webcasting, and show a  clear resolve of the electorate to
change current policies and preserve  a unique sense of community.
