Seed ripening

How long does it take for seeds to ripen after pollination?
Drogheda, County Louth Ireland

Under good conditions, in which the plants receive adequate water, nutrients and favorable climactic conditions, the seeds will form and ripen in about three weeks.

Ripening will be delayed when the temperature varies much from 72 degrees F (22 degrees C) or if the nights are much cooler than 65 degrees F (18 degrees C).
