Newshawks: Toronto Drug Cops Busted

Five Toronto police officers and one retired officer have turned themselves in to face more than 20 criminal charges in a corruption investigation into the force’s central drug squad.
The charges follow an RCMP-led probe into allegations the officers on the now-disbanded drug squad were beating and robbing suspects. The officers face charges ranging from conspiracy to obstruct justice, to extortion, perjury, theft over $5,000, and assault causing bodily harm.
