Mississippi cops as cocaine escorts

The last of five corrupt MS police officers was sentenced in July, ending a series of trials resulting from an FBI sting in 2000. Six officers were charged with taking payments of $500 and $1000 to protect shipments of cocaine. One officer resigned and charges were dropped. The other officers received sentences ranging between one and eight years.
While in uniform, the officers had acted as escorts to undercover FBI agents they thought were drug dealers.
