I’m about to start a small garden in my closet. The space is only 12 square feet. I was thinking of growing about eight plants in the space. I will have to purchase seeds. How many seeds should I start with to get eight healthy, resinous females?
Hicksville, New York
In order to wind up with eight healthy females start with about 30 seeds. About half of the plants will be males and will be removed from the garden. That leaves approximately 15 females. A few of these will probably not look as good as the others. By this I mean that they will be considerably smaller, misshapen, or weak looking. These plants should also be eliminated from the garden. The next step is to choose the best eight plants.
