Chilliwack B.C. Mayor Clint Hames got the biggest round of applause at an all-candidates meeting Wednesday night when he told the crowd of about 200 that he’s "proud" of the city’s effort to knock down home grow operations. "These are the folks we want out of our community," he said.

FEDS SHOULD RESPECT COURT’S RULING FOR DOCS
"If the federal government were right that medical marijuana has no medicinal value, why have so many doctors risked their practices by recommending its use for patients with cancer or AIDS?"

JUDGE’S TOKE ENDS CAREER
The AP reports that a Michigan judge went on indefinite voluntary leave after admitting taking a toke of marijuana at a Rolling Stones concert. In contrast, the judge who sentenced Marvin Chavez had previously crashed his car while drunk, but received only an administrative reprimand.
