PROBLEMS WITH OTTAWA’S POT CROP
Prairie Plant Systems Inc., a Saskatoon company, has grown more than 250 kilograms of unharvested marijuana since it got a $5.7-million contract with Health Canada. However, an indefinite government delay now means patients who want the drug must supply it themselves or name someone else to grow it for them.

MILTON FRIEDMANS 30-YEAR-OLD ADVICE
This week, President Bush, publicly praised economist Milton Friedman, noted how “the rest of the world is finally catching up with Milton Friedman.” But Bush conveniently ignored Friedman’s 30 year opposition to the War on Drugs, while lauding the economist for his free market theories and valuable contributions to society.
