Traffic stop rights

When you are pulled over for speeding and the police officer asks if he may search the car for drugs, do you have to let him search or can you refuse?
NTVMIR,
Banning, California

The cop would not be asking for your permission if s/he didn’t need it. If the cop asks you why you refuse permission, just say that you are doing it to help preserve the Constitution and the Bill of Rights ? use it or lose it.
