Dutch med-pot approval

On October 19, 2001, the Dutch Cabinet approved a bill that allows for government-subsidized medicinal marijuana to be dispensed from pharmacies. The bill is expected to pass Holland’s legislature and become law by spring of 2002.
The bill would require the government to provide “pharmaceutical quality” marijuana to pharmacies, to be dispensed for free to those with a doctor’s prescription.
