When to harvest

A friend of mine recently purchased seeds in Canada. The strain is White Lightening. The problem is that she pollinated a few flowers when they first appeared about two weeks ago, and now the stigmas on even the unfertilized flowers are beginning to turn. They have only been flowering for about four weeks. Is this normal? Should she harvest now, or should she wait to see if a new growth spurt will occur?

If only a small amount of pollination took place then the buds usually resume growth. With heavier pollination, the buds are likely to be abortive shadows of their potential. In any case, wait until they have ripened completely before clipping them.
