The taxman taketh

Canadian Customs and Revenue has announced that it will begin targeting pot-growers for unpaid taxes. Government agents have begun checking media reports of convicted cultivators, calculating production levels using court transcripts and hydro records. With the addition of back taxes, late fees, penalties and accumulated interest the financial burden can be staggering.
Revenue officials claim that tax forms are confidential, and that a declared marijuana grower can deduct expenses for fertilizer, lights and other equipment.
