Vancouver welcomes Stranjahs in da Night, the newest addition to its growing number of semi-aboveground pot-friendly hangouts.
In a two-floor cafe, Stranjahs serves up a buffet of reasonably priced vegetarian ganja-food four nights a week. With live music, fun events, contests and an amazingly friendly vibe, Stranjahs has quickly become a preferred hang-out for CC staff, and anyone wanting a feast for their belly, brain and soul.
Stranjahs is not new – they’ve been serving up ganja food for over a year, with a few months at their current location.
The individual dishes are not overpoweringly strong with ganja, but this reviewer can confirm that the food is tasty, potent, and has a satisfyingly irie cumulative effect.
No marijuana is sold in Stranjahs, other than the ganja-food. But patrons are encouraged to bring their own buds, and engage in joint-smoking and bong-hitting behaviour.
Stranjahs in da Night is at 1701 Powell Street (West entrance). It’s open Thursday to Sunday, doors open at 7pm. There’s no need for reservations, so just drop on by.
Stranjahs can be reached by phone at (604) 728-9717. The Stranjahs website is at www.stranjahs.com.
