The War on Drugs Comes Home

Two military helicopters swooped into the domestic drug war on August 4, called in by Kamloops RCMP to assist in spotting hidden fields of Kootenay Gold. The four day operation netted about 2,000 plants and only one arrest, putting the tiniest of tiny dents into the marijuana machine that is BC's fertile interior.

The cops seemed to have fun flying around in the army choppers, and are looking forward to having military participation in other domestic operations. Apparently someone realized that sending our boys overseas to oppress the locals is so much more expensive than simply putting them to work oppressing the folks at home.
