Baggie seeds

Will seeds from my baggie give me good plants?
Follow:

If I plant my average everyday "baggie" seeds, could they grow up to become higher quality plants, since the quality wasn't that good to begin with?

The bud that you are smoking is a good indication of what the seeds would produce. The bud may be fresher and have slightly increased potency from extra care, but it cannot exceed its genetic potential. Seed from mediocre weed will produce mediocre weed.

When you think of all the time and money you invest in the garden, good seed that results in high quality produce is the cheapest way to improve your crop.

It would definitely be more potent if you didn't let it get pollinated like it's parent was.
